What is a Pressure Tank | Expansion Vessel?
Simply put the pressure tank or expansion vessel as its also called is an important part of any sealed water system in that is allows for expansion of the fluid in the system. The tank allows for the natural expansion of water in a sealed plumbing system, the SolarWave 35 Litre Vertical pressure tank by Global Water Solutions can be used in various applications where there is a need to allow for expansion of water in a sealed system, some typical applications are sealed Hydronic, Solar or Chilled Water systems.
The 35LT can be used only in the vertical position where the internal Butyl Diaphragm allows for expansion and contraction in the system. There are two parts to a pressure tank, the WET side and the DRY. The Wet side is connected to the system that it is plumbed into, when the system heats the expansion of that water is taken up in the tank by the Butyl diaphragm which is charged by compressed air via a tyre valve on the Dry side. The Global Water Solutions SolarWave 35LT can allow for and expansion of 11Lt.
