What is MFD Vs uF on a capacitor

This question is frequently asked, so here is a quick run-down; A 10 mfd (microfarads) capacitor is the same as a 10 µF (microfarad) capacitor. "mfd" stands for microfarads, and "uF" is the symbol for microfarads. They both represent the same unit of capacitance, just expressed in different ways. So, a 10 mfd capacitor is indeed equivalent to a 10 µF capacitor.
