Where would I use it?
The brass union set is suitable for - Grundfos SOLAR 15-20 CIL2 Open Loop Solar Hot Water Pumps, it has compression and a female connection which is DR brass. The union comes complete with brass or copper compression olives and fibre sealing washer/gasket. The fitting is manufactured to comply with the requirements of the Australian standards. The Grundfos 15-20 CIL 2 has a "Port to Port" dimension of 130mm please allow for alteration of the pipework if replacing a different type of circulator pump, for example a Grundfos 15-14 B PM with a "Port to Port" of 80mm.

The Grundfos 15-20 CIL 2's are commonly used as a replacement pump in an pre existing Solar Hot Water System, the existing power cord would be reused, avoiding additional time and electricians expense. If the pump is replacement is "like for like" then the existing unions would be used. If you are replacing an existing solar hot water pump please be aware that your plumber should check the installation & function of the high temperature non return valve, this valves omittance and or failure contributes to early pump failure.
